After much reflection and effort, the decision was recently made to dissolve the Friends of Roseville’s Harriet Alexander Nature Center (FORHANC). The current Board voted and a subsequent general Membership Meeting was held on Dec. 2, 2013 where the vote was unanimous for dissolution after more than 20 years of providing fundraising efforts for our beloved nature center, HANC. The Friends of Roseville Parks (FOR Parks) has graciously agreed to continue overseeing some or all of the fundraising needs of HANC, especially ensuring that our two groups’ combined $60,000 (or more) pledged to the interior building upgrades, part of the Roseville Parks Renewal Plan, will proceed to completion. We invite all former FORHANC members to join FOR Parks, unless, of course, you’re already a member of that fine organization. A link to their membership form is on their website.
The Harriet Alexander Nature Center is located in Roseville, Minnesota (not California or Michigan or any other Roseville in the US!).

In June, 2012, we had a special fundraising event, the Pig Roast Party! Click here to see some pictures from that successful event.
